Well fishing on the Rock is like the weather, don't like it hang around for a few hours it will change.. Let's just say the Sunny Blue Bird sky's are the worst. The lake flat shuts down, But things are changing!! But when you have some clouds and wind watch out, they are really starting to feed and even better they are starting up close to the bank.. Let's get started....

Best bite for now is changing everyday. Split Shot rigs and Shakey Jigs are really starting to come on strong.. Shakey Jigs are 3/16 to 1/8 ounce and I'm adding a Zoom Speed Craw on it and dragging it slow in and around creek arms with the pea gravel banks up shallow... Spilt Shot rigs are just about the same Fish Doctors tipped in Chart on the tail, drag these baits in the same areas. Look for pea gravel pockets in the creek arms, fish these areas hard as the fish are staging in these areas..

Next Football Jigs in the main lake pockets and points next to spawning flats has been producing fish as well.. Up the White, James and Long Creek area fish these around bluff ends, main creek points, secondary creek points and small pockets close to deep water or near the spawning flats. Fish are staging around the standing timber and rocks piles.. Drag 5/8 to 1/2 ounce FootBall jigs with matching trailers.. I use some custom made football jigs in Watermelon cotton candy, Missouri Craw or PB&J or even a flat brown and flat green pumpkin and add a zoom speed craw in matching colors for my rig... Slow is the key, target fish in and around rock piles, standing timber and in cedar trees anywhere they can hide.

Another bite but a slow one now is with the Wiggle Wart! On cloudy days with or without wind this bite is there.. Best seems to be in the major creek arms about 1/4 to 1/2 of the way back into them on the secondary points and pockets and If any wind even better fish those wind blown banks.. Color are your basic crawfish patterns base dull red, green craw and orange craw seem to be work with a few of those custom colors mixed in.. Start and stop retrieve is working hit anything in it's path, pause after hitting object... then move on waiting for the bite..

And last something to try in the really hard winds, tie on a 3/8 all white with gold willow blades spinnerbait.. Fish this bait on any and all really hard wind blown banks, allow contact with the bottom and snap the bait back to running right.. Hold on bite is really hard.. Seen some really BIG fish caught in the last few weeks with this guy.. But you have to have the winds... Will keep posting as everything changes, it is getting ready to blow big time, fish are ready! Let's Go!!

Trout Fishing is Hot

Trout fishing is starting to pickup again, the lower area of Taneycomo is starting to produce some good fishing with current, but can be slow with no current at all. COE keeps running generators everyday and keeping the water at a good flow but shallow up in the trophy zone.  We are dragging power bait on a 2 pound leader from the cooper creek area to just past the Branson Landing area. Colors are White, Sunrise, Chartreuse, Lemon Lime and Bubble Gum on the bottom or just suspended off the bottom. If you find a spot with fish stay there, fish are bunched up in groups right now, Tuesday on a trip we had our limit in 30 minutes in just one spot.

Will keep reporting my findings, Thanks for reading my reports drop me an email and let me know how your fishing trip was on Table Rock Lake and Taneycomo Lake.

Good Fishing Everyone
